Variable Mooney Viscometer
The Variable Mooney Viscometer V-MV 3000 brings traditional Mooney Viscosity, Scorch and Stress Relaxation testing to the next level. Besides the ultra-rigid test frame, the instrument incorporates the latest direct servo drive technology and superior design for unbeaten data accuracy and test result precision.
The instrument is directly controlled by the PC. The measuring system, instrument controlling, and data acquisition and the control of the testing instrument is made by the PC by means of the included MonControl analysis software.
For calibration the instrument has two calibration weights included in the machine. The complete calibration can be performed directly by MonControl software.
MonTech V-MV 3000
The testing instrument consists of the machine case, a PC with screen, keyboard and mouse as well as a printer.
The torque is created by a direct driven, replaceable rotor which is completely embedded in the test material in a closed test chamber. The rotational movement is created by a servomotor with an adjustable speed from 0 to 50 turns per minute. This movement is directly controlled via MonControl software. The torque measurement is performed by a high resolution torque transducer. In the MonControl Software are more than 3500 different data points available for calculation.
The closing of the test chamber is done by an pneumatically closing system with a closing force of 11.5 KN at 4.5 bars air pressure. For safety reasons a safety shield is closed before the test chambers were closed. An opening of the test chambers is possible at every time of a test. Also there is a Stand by function for closing the test chambers without running a test.
The temperature regulation is divided in 2 separate heating circuits - the heating operates with electrical heating films - one for each test chamber. The temperature regulation is directly controlled by software with direct displaying of all temperatures. The temperature measurement itself is done by PT 100 resistance thermocouples.
Mooney volume punch
For the exact production of test samples for the V-MV 3000, the M-VS 3000 sample cutter for Mooney viscometers is an available option. This volume punch is used for rapid and accurate preparation of test specimens. The usage of a volume cutter is recommended because this ensures reliable and reproducible test results.
